Remember '14-'18, The Great War
REMEMBERING ’14-’18, THE GREAT WAR
Virtual Colonoscopy Teaching Centre is located in Hooglede, some 20 kilometres from Ypres.
During 4 years Ypres and its surroundings were the scene of heavy battles.
Soldiers from the Commonwealth and from all over the world came to our region to play a major role in World War I and in the history of the 20th century.
The historical town of Ypres was entirely destroyed and totally rebuilt afterwards.
World famous are the trenches, the first attack with yperite, better known as musterd gas, the Menin Gate and the Last Post, Tyne Cot Cemetery remembering the battles of Passchendaele, …
This has been commemorated by many beautiful monuments, museums and events. It is certainly worthwhile visiting this region while participating to one of our CTC workshops.
